Have you ever felt that you were meant to do something but because you are not sure, you end up procrastinating? Georgia was in her mid teens and she wasn't aware that she had a hidden talent which happened to be singing. One beautiful morning. At home, Georgia was in the kitchen and she was singing while making breakfast. "Hey Mom, Good morning, how are you doing"? said Georgia joyfully. "Good morning Georgia, wow you have such a beautiful voice". Replied Mrs. Bouti. "Oh, thanks Mum". replied Georgia There was a loud knock at the door...
To Be Continued.

They were her friends that come by to visit. Georgia led them to her room. They were two. "Georgia, you know you can sing well, right? Why not compete at the Annual Famous Term?" asked Orlanda. "Yes, you should". said Maryanne. The other friend. "I'm going to give it some thought". replied Georgia. They left for school. The following day Georgia went to her dad's workplace. She spoke to her him about the Annual Famous Term. Georgia's father was very supportive and so he gave her permission to go to for the competition. Georgia didn't bother asking her mother because she knew that she would obviously say yes. A month later. The day of the competition arrived. Georgia has rehearsed tirelessly and she felt confident that she was going to perform well. It was time for the show to begin and it was Georgia's turn to perform. She sang so well that the crowd applauded as they stood up. Her family and friends had attended too. "Oh my God, you are talented indeed". One judge mentioned. "You get a 10 out of 10". Said another. Soon the show ended and it was time to announce the winner. Georgia was the winner. She won the Annual Famous Term. Everyone was overjoyed and delighted.
"Girl, I am so proud of you. So happy for you that you won". Said Georgia's friend. "I'm so happy for you too" Said another one. "Thanks for all the support". Replied Georgia A year passed and Georgia had to go to college. At the college she decided to drop out of her third semester in order to start singing. Her parents were furious. They didn't like the whole idea. "No Georgia, you should first consider your education". said Mr. Bouti Georgia didn't know what to do next but one thing for sure was music was her true passion. The next day, Georgia had to speak with her parents. After the conversation, Georgia had made a decision to finish college then pursue her talent. Mr. Bouti was glad that his daughter decided to finish college first. One day at the college, the students were complaining about concerts since there were no concerts for the past three months. About the college, concerts were considered part of the curriculum. They encouraged the students to have fun time and socialize with others before the end of each semester. In that way, students would get to know each other and also help out one another. Even those who used to be shy would become more social. "Bring back the concerts. Bring back the concerts!" They demanded They were all gathered outside. "Alright, we've had enough, enough is enough". said the principal. "You are going to have a concert before your semester ends but since you shouted and destructed the college, it will be after one week". Said the principal. Everyone was happy now. The semester was coming to an end. Everyone at the college got busier. They were also getting ready for the concert. Everyone wanted Georgia to be part of it including her friends. They wanted her to perform. During class, students would ask Georgia if she wanted to be part of the concert. Some also wanted to know if she would be singing. "I'm not sure, I will first have to confirm that". Georgia would respond. Three days passed and the concert was approaching. Georgia had not yet confirmed with the committee about singing and all of her fellow students were getting concerned. Everyone was busy. At home, Georgia's family and friends were excited since she will be going home for the holidays. One day, at school, one student asked Georgia again if she will be able to perform but she replied no. Soon, the concert day approached. "Georgia should have participated, she would have made the entire show interesting". The students kept mumbling.
The concert started. It was the second last student performing according to the schedule. After, Georgia was invited on stage. Suddenly, she felt nervous since she had not performed in front of an audience in a long time but she kept whispering to herself that she got it. Soon, she started singing and all the students were amazed and mesmerized. They started recording her on their cell phones. "As we go home, we remember all the times we spent together...." She kept singing. Georgia finished her performance. Everyone clapped loudly. Georgia felt extremely proud of herself. "I did it, I did it....yesssss......" She said happily. After two weeks, the college closed for the holidays. At home, Georgia didn't have much to do. One day, one of her friends Ryn, came to visit her and told her about how she could land herself a gig at her sister's wedding and earn some money. "All you have to do is sing and dance. You know just like the way you do it at school." said her friend. "The advantage here is that you will be paid, you be singing and dancing for free". added Ryn "Yayyy.... sounds great". replied Georgia She felt overjoyed especially when she found out that she will be getting paid. "I can't wait to let my parents know" Georgia said happily. Soon, Ryn left. "Hello Dad, may I please sing over the weekend at a wedding?" Georgia asked her Dad. "Ryn had told me about her sister's wedding and that I could actually sing for everyone there". She added. "But Georgia, you don't even know the couple very well". said Mr. Bouti "But Dad, Ryn's sister is the bride". said Georgia "I'm going to first speak with your Mom about it". said Mr. Bouti "Alright, Dad" replied Georgia Suddenly she felt nervous and decided to call Ryn. "Hey Ryn, what have you been up to today?" Georgia asked "Ummm, nothing much." replied Ryn. "How about you?" asked Ryn "About the gig that you had told me about recently, I had told my Dad and now he is going to tell my Mom. I'm only hoping for the best outcome". said Georgia "Be positive, I know that they are going to give you permission to sing". said Ryn
"Thanks friend alright, I'll keep you posted" replied Georgia "Sure, okay". replied Ryn. Soon, it was dinnertime and everyone was at the table. Georgia's anxiety kicked in again. "We have have talking and thinking about your gig for a while, we've decided that you can go and sing on condition that you won't be coming home late". Mr. Bouti said "OMG, for real. You are the best parents ever". Georgia said happily "About coming back home early I will, don't even worry about it". She said "As long as you say so". Replied Mrs. Bouti Georgia was extremely happy. She was so excited actually she couldn't believe it that her parents have eventually allowed her to sing and she kept asking herself why she was nervous at first. She was very delighted. Two days later, it was the day of the wedding. Ryn had attended too. Everyone at the wedding was very excited, smartly dressed and happy. Soon it was Georgia's turn to sing a song and entertain the people. Later, she started singing. Everyone stopped talking and listened to her. All eyes were on her. All the guests at the party were mesmerized. Georgia sang so sweetly. After the performance, everyone applauded. It was like they have never seen anyone sing like that before in their whole entire lives. "Wow, did you hear that? Beyond my imagination." One of the guests said. Georgia felt so honored as well as the newlyweds. The wedding was almost getting over and it was very late. Georgia had been told to be home early therefore she had to start asking for a ride. There was no one who would take her back home. She started getting worried. Georgia didn't want to tell Ryn because her and the entire family were still having fun at the wedding and didn't want to interrupt so she just decided to go to the bathroom. On her way, she bumped into one of the guests that were at the party. "Oh, sorry, it's sort of dark here, I didn't even notice you". said the guest. "Oh, it's okay." replied Georgia "I'm Tim, by the way". said the guest as he brought out his hand. "Oh, okay, nice to meet you and I'm Georgia". She replied as she also brought out her hand. From there a friendship was born. They started having conversations and surprisingly they shared a few things in common. The wedding was almost ending. Georgia asked a ride from Tim. She was afraid at first. Everybody was super tired since it was around midnight. "So what are you going to do when you get home?" Asked Tim. Georgia laughed. "Obviously sleep, nine hours straight". Georgia replied. "Why did you laugh at first, you didn't have to. I know that it was a lame question". Tim said jokingly. Soon they arrived.
"Thanks for the ride Tim". Said Georgia "It's nothing anyway, have a good night. Hope to hear from you again". Tim said. "Thanks, likewise" Georgia replied. Tim left. "Where have you been Georgia, we have been waiting for you". Mr. Bouti asked. Georgia told them what had happened but she had left out Tim, she did not mentioned anything about him yet. She had also earned some little money that day. The next day in the morning, Ryn gave Georgia a call. They talked about the wedding and how it was a very good opportunity, Tim and the rest. "So, had you received any assignments from school?" Asked Ryn. "No, we weren't given any". Replied Georgia "Oh, great". Replied Ryn. Ryn also went ahead to ask Georgia if she had any special plans during the school break but she didn't have any. "Only reading and helping out here at the farm" Georgia said. Mr. and Mrs. Bouti owned a dairy farm (a place established for the storage, processing and distribution of milk and milk products). It usually gets busy at the dairy farm. Three years later, Georgia and Ryn graduated from college. They were very excited. It was a very big occasion and there were two graduation parties. After the school ceremony, Georgia and her entire family went home. Before the party, a week before, Ryn and Georgia's parents planned a big surprise party for both there daughters. Ryn was invited too. The rest of the entire families waited in the house. They were hiding too. No sooner had Georgia and Ryn entered the house than everybody screamed, "CONGRATULATIONS, GRADS. YOU MADE IT, YAY". Ryn and Georgia were so overjoyed. They had food, drinks and they also danced the night away. The next day, everyone slept in and woke up in the afternoon. They got very tired from last night. Georgia and Ryn started talking about their graduation party and how everybody made them feel happy and special. They started to clean the house. Ryn eventually went back home. Georgia decided to listen to some music all day. After one year, Georgia landed a job. She became a musician. They used to play her music on both radio and television. Ryn became an assistant director of a company. The two friends became distant due to their work schedule but never at heart. A true definition of sisters at heart.
